Learn basic ceramic hand building skills. During the workshop you will be shown 3 simple techniques, pinching, coiling, and slab building to create a whole range of items of your choice. From cups, bowls, spoons, vases, jewelry.....the possibilities are endless...... You will be supplied with 1kg of clay, tools to manipulate the clay, stamps and textured rollers and mats and a variety of other clay tools to work with. Each Workshop will take around 2-3 hrs, and will include complimentary selection of Cakes, Tea and Coffee. At the end of the workshop you can choose to have your master pieces Kiln fired and glazed in one of our glazes, if you choose to. This service is additional $10 per kilo per firing. Your Pieces will be ready for you to pick up in 2 -3 weeks. You can also opt to have you pieces packaged and posted to you for a small additional fee. WHAT TO BRING: Please wear comfortable clothing and shoes that you don’t mind getting clay on. An Apron is provided. We keep our numbers to small groups of 6 people (DURING covid restrictions😢), the classes are held in our purpose made STUDIO in the quaint oceanside suburb of Diamond Beach. If you should wish to organise a group function of more that 6 people, please contact us at seasaltsandesign@gmail and we will work with you to organise a nearby venue and date to suit your needs. Your space in our workshop is only secured once payment is received and all payments are non refundable. If you should be unable to attend we are happy for you to organise someone else to take your place, please just message us beforehand. Please note that this class requires at least 5 students to run. In the unlikely event that we do not get this number of students, we will cancel the class and fully refund you.
